Carolyn Kambich, Executive Director, is one of the school's founders.  She holds a bachelor's degree in elementary education and is a Montessori directress certified by the American Montessori Society.  She has served on the Board of the Illinois Montessori Society, is Past President of the Illinois Montessori Teachers Association and is Past President of the Association of Illinois Montessori Schools.  She is Secretary to the Heads of School Representative to the American Montessori Society.  She has been active internationally  in the development of Montessori schools in Africa and Europe. Anthony L. Kambich, President of the Deerfield Montessori School Board, is a former teacher with graduate level work in school administration.  He also has a background in athletic coaching and has directed community, park and recreation programs in Deerfield, Lake Forest, and Winnetka.  He has been a long-time member of Rotary International, serving as Past President of the Winnetka-Northfield Rotary Club, Assistant District Governor and currently serving as micro finance advisor to the President of Rotary International.  He is also involved in local and international service projects.    Lisa Kambich is Director of Schools and was herself a Montessori student.  She holds a bachelor's degree and is a Montessori directress certified by the American Montessori Society.  Currently she is President of the Association of Illinois Montessori Schools.  She also serves on the American Montessori Society's accreditation team. Anthony J. Kambich is Business Manager and Property Manager, while Douglas G. Kambich supervises development and maintenance of buildings and grounds.  Both Anthony and Douglas were students at the Deerfield Montessori school.  They are also working in the business world in real estate development and banking. Arlene Gordon, Director of Admissions, is in charge of school tours and student registration for all four school sites.  She has her degree in elementary education and is a Montessori certified directress and was previously Site Director of the Riverwoods Montessori School. Jeffrey Katz is Principal of Riverwoods Montessori School which offers pre-school for two to six year olds and elementary school for six to twelve year olds.  In addition to his Montessori teacher certification, Jeffrey holds a bachelor's degree and a master's degree. Betty Magliano is Site Director of Deerfield Montessori School on North Avenue which offers pre-school programs for infants to six year olds.  School age children attend Riverwoods Montessori Elementary.  In addition to her Montessori teacher certification, Betty holds a bachelor's degree and a master's degree. Usha Bala is Site Director of Deerfield Montessori Children's House on Wilmot Road which offers pre-school programs for two to six year olds.  School age children attend Riverwoods Montessori Elementary.  In addition to her Montessori teacher certification, Usha holds a bachelor's degree and a master's degree. Debbie Song is Site Director of Glenview Montessori School which offers pre-school programs for two to six year olds.  School age children attend Riverwoods Montessori Elementary.  In addition to her Montessori teacher certification, Debbie holds a bachelor's degree and a master's degree. Our directors and administrators also contribute to the larger educational  community through service at the local, state, national and international  levels.
